I’m Teus van der Stelt, also known as Lumiteus. As a light composer, director, and cultural entrepreneur, I continually push the boundaries of the performing arts, offering a unique contribution to the world of (classical) music.
Through my lighting, I add a visual voice that amplifies the emotional power of music. As a director, I aim for authenticity and impact. As a cultural entrepreneur, I bring innovation and provide top-quality equipment, which is also available for rent.

Light composer
Light is a powerful visual medium that can profoundly enhance a concert, theater production, or installation. With my musicality, technical expertise, and top-of-the-line lighting equipment, I create a visual voice that harmonizes perfectly with the music.
Director
As a director, I am dedicated to creating authentic and impactful performances. For me, it’s about being genuine—removing the masks. And if a mask is needed, it must be so convincing that it transports the audience to another reality.
Consulting / rentals
I believe in letting the creative process take center stage. To support this, I own and customize a full range of equipment, including a complete lighting setup, truck, trailer, trusses, hoists, lifts, and a cherry picker. This equipment is also available for rent.

I first met Teus van der Stelt of “Lumiteus” seven years ago when I was Artistic Manager of the Bosch Requiem, organized by the Jheronimus Bosch 500 Foundation. This groundbreaking concert series in the St. John’s Cathedral in ‘s-Hertogenbosch has been televised and recorded for DVD from the very beginning. The concerts and recordings are highly praised, thanks in large part to the exceptional lighting by Lumiteus. Lighting designer Teus van der Stelt is fully devoted to both the music and the historic setting of the cathedral. Each year, a ‘story’ unfolds in music and imagery, atmospheric and meaningful.
